Vincent Favier is dedicated to develop regional scale measurement networks and modeling approaches of the surface mass and heat budgets of Antarctica. He manages the French glaciers observatory in Antarctica (GLACIOCLIM-SAMBA) aiming at performing long term glaciological measurements, and is the French SCAR-ITASE.(International Trans-Antarctic Scientific Expedition) and the French SCAR national representative in standing scientific group on physical sciences. Since 2007 he has been involved in 9 scientific expeditions in Antarctica and in Kerguelen Islands, but was also involved in researches in the Andes between Ecuador and Chile... Glaciology is a good way to visit spectacular regions....
